Cynthia A. Dawley

Cynthia A. Dawley was born in New Jersey in 1964. Growing up surrounded by the works of her father, world-renowned artist Joseph Dawley, it would seem that becoming an artist would be inevitable.

Working solely in oils, Cynthia has exhibited her works in galleries nationally, and is included in numerous private collections. Her works have also been used on the corporate level by such companies as Cartier jewelers, Colavita, and the HBO series The Sopranos.

Cynthia’s use of color and light reflect her ability to capture a feeling through her artwork. Her paintings show a large diversity in subject matter, from the cityscapes of NYC, to the beaches of Monterey, and even the international flavors of such places as Sweden and Italy.

Currently Cynthia resides in New Jersey with her husband and two children creating in the very studio her father once painted in.

As an American impressionist artist, Cynthia A. Dawley masterfully uses color and light to bring her subjects to life.

In June 2005, NJ Monthly magazine ran a feature story focusing not only on Cynthia’s artwork, but on her life and relationship with her artist father, Joseph Dawley.
